Ticket Lobby Improvements at Līhuʻe Airport
Project Overview: Līhuʻe Airport opened in January 1950 and served just over 100,000 passengers that year. Today, Līhuʻe Airport consistently serves over 2.5 million passengers annually, and that number is projected to grow in the future. This much-needed project successfully created a more spacious and free-flowing ticket lobby by removing uncovered landscape planters and installing new flooring and seating areas in their place, while constructing a new roof over each area.
