Interstate H-1 Rehabilitation
Project Overview: The Interstate H-1 Freeway from Middle Street to the vicinity of Ward Avenue is one of the oldest and busiest traffic corridors on Oʻahu, handling approximately 200,000 vehicles per day. This area was in dire need of upgrading, repairs, and resurfacing. This Federal-Aid Project was designed to extend the remaining service life of the pavement and address congestion through this major corridor. This project also added one lane in each direction to relieve traffic congestion.
